The Green is an 18th century detached holiday cottage situated in the heart of the historic village of Lastingham, on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Our peaceful village is ideally located between Helmsley and Pickering with Kirkbymoorside a short car drive away.
Perfect for a relaxing self-catering holiday, Lastingham is an ideal base for exploring the moors, with stunning walking and cycling routes accessible within minutes of the cottage — no need to even get in the car.
A cosy and welcoming retreat for walking or cycling at any time of year, The Green sleeps six guests comfortably, with children and dogs most welcome. The cottage also features a small enclosed rear garden, ideal for summer BBQs and alfresco dining.. If you fancy a night off cooking, simply pop next door to The Blacksmiths Arms, a delightful gastropub with outdoor seating and takeaway options available year-round.
Lastingham has a wonderful community atmosphere, with the church, pub and village hall regularly hosting events throughout the year, including the Christmas craft fair, Halloween pumpkin trail, open gardens, concerts at St Mary’s Church and live music evenings at the pub.
