The dark skies festival celebrates the star-studded skies found in the UK’s national parks. Where they remain some of the darkest places in Great Britain. It’s essentially a fantastic opportunity to get outside and enjoy learning more about the night sky and appreciating its stunning beauty.
The North York Moors National Park was one of the first members of the festival and will be celebrating its tenth Dark Skies Festival this year. Organised events will be happening all around the area at Danby, Dalby, Sutton Bank, Kilburn, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay. Or simply wrap up warm and take a seat outside our cottage (with not a street light in sight) and enjoy the breath-taking view!
For more information and a full list of events please see the Dark Skies Festival website.
