Or where the dishwasher salt is? Whether there’s a high chair available? Or perhaps you’re looking for a good walk nearby or somewhere nice for lunch.

These are exactly the sorts of things I find myself wondering when I’m away, either before I arrive or halfway through a stay.

With that in mind, we now have a lovely new digital guest guide- you can even download it as an app! ( I find this mind blowing- my children just rolled their eyes)

It’s taken much longer than I expected (mainly because every time I thought I’d finished, I’d think of something else to add), but it’s finally ready to use. The best part is that it’s searchable, so finding information is quick and easy.

My favourite section is the local guide, which is packed with some of my favourite places to eat, walks, gardens, museums and hidden gems across the North York Moors and beyond. Better still, I can keep it updated whenever I discover somewhere new.

The printed guide isn’t going anywhere, of course, but hopefully the digital version will make finding answers, planning days out and making the most of a stay that little bit easier.

…Although, knowing me, I’ll probably still be adding “just one more thing” this time next year.
